Sarah Kingsley officially joined the USA TODAY NETWORK in December 2005.

Sarah has held many roles throughout her decade long human resources career. She started working for the Lansing State Journal as an HR intern while attending Michigan State University. Following her internship, she officially joined the Gannett family as an HR Assistant at the LSJ. Sarah worked in this role while finishing up her Bachelor of Arts degree from Michigan State University. Following that role, Sarah worked as an HR Generalist for 3 years proving HR support to approximately 500 employees from the Lansing State Journal, Battle Creek Enquirer and the Port Huron Times Herald. From 2011-2012, Sarah expanded her footprint and began working on the Employee Services team assisting employees across the company on benefit and payroll related matters.

Sarah began providing HR support for Gannett Publishing Services (GPS) in 2013 working on special projects and strategic initiatives for the division which consists of approximately 4,500 employees. In 2015, Sarah became the HR lead for GPS partnering with corporate and local executives to work on strategic initiatives and all aspects of Human Resources Management including talent acquisition, retention, compensation, organizational development and performance management.

Sarah is married and had a daughter, Isabelle who is now one. Aside from staying busy being a first time parent, Sarah enjoys baking, traveling and outdoor activities (walking/jogging) in her spare time. Sarah participates in a number of 5k’s to support a variety of causes.
